Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept insurance?
At this time CV SLP is an out-of- network provider. This means that currently we accept private pay only. Upon request you will be provided with a super bill for speech services. You may submit this super bill to your insurance company for reimbursement. Payment is due at time of service using credit/debit cards and cash including HSA/FSA through our secure payment app.
  • Where are sessions located?
Knowing that a child learns best in his own environment, CV SLP will provide treatment in the comfort of your home and/ or virtually (remote service delivery)
  • Fees:
Rates are individualized and are based on services provided. You will be provided with a Good faith estimate prior to receiving services. I have included the template. Could you attach it please? At this time all services are private pay and considered Out of Network. Cecilia Vellozo SLP uses Simple Practice to take payment. We accept credit, debit, HSA, and FSA cards for therapy services via Simple Practice. Payment can be made via the client portal link and all clients are required to have a copy of their photo ID and a credit card on file and set to auto pay at time of service. Although we do not accept insurance at this time, we will provide you with a super bill (detailed invoice) which you may provide to your insurance provider for out of network reimbursement.
  • When should my child start therapy?
As soon as possible. The current “wait and see” approach is not recommended as the sooner the child receives intervention the sooner eating habits are established which leads to more successful outcomes. Similarly with communication, the longer delays/ disorders are left untreated, the higher the risk for ongoing need for intervention.
  • Cancellation policy:
If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment a 24 hour cancellation is required. No shows or cancellations will be billed at the full rate.
  • Who do we serve?
We serve children and young adults with speech- language and feeding deficits up to age 21. CV SLP is experienced in working with medically fragile children and young adults as well as neurodiverse individuals.
  • How long are the sessions?
Session length is dependent upon age and condition of client.
